Path of ExileFPS and latency in Delta Force: measure before tuning
Four commonly confused measurements
FPS counts frames produced per second. Frame time describes each frame’s preparation interval: evenly paced 60 FPS corresponds to about 16.7 ms per frame, and 120 FPS to 8.3 ms. An average can still hide individual stalls.
Input latency concerns the interval between an action and visible response; ping concerns communication with the server. First identify uneven motion, slow input response or network behavior rather than grouping everything under lag.
Make the comparison repeatable
Record resolution, display mode, graphics preset and frame cap. Reuse the same game mode and a similar scene. Comparing an empty room with a busy battle does not isolate one setting.
Change one parameter and repeat the same short route. Track average FPS, noticeable frame-time spikes and image clarity. Repeat inconsistent measurements: one favorable number does not demonstrate a stable improvement.
Check DLSS and Reflex separately
NVIDIA confirms Delta Force support for DLSS Super Resolution and Reflex. Super Resolution reconstructs the image from a lower internal resolution; Reflex targets PC processing latency. Availability depends on the system and current client.
Compare available modes on your own computer, assessing moving-detail clarity as well as frame counts. A manufacturer’s demonstration percentage belongs to its test conditions, not every graphics card.
Check background activity independently
Video recording, many open applications and other tasks can change load during testing. Record your normal application set, then remove optional tasks one at a time and repeat the same scene.
Do not confuse networking with rendering. Stable FPS alongside delayed network events is not evidence that lowering texture quality will solve the issue. Record connection indicators and when the problem occurs for game support.
Keep an understandable result
A useful profile balances readable visuals, consistent motion and acceptable response in your usual Delta Force mode. Preserve the starting settings and comparison results for future updates.
For any additional product in the Delta Force section, separately check requirements and supported display modes. An FPS counter or overlay control does not imply performance acceleration. The cover is an illustration, not benchmark evidence.
