Path of ExileEscape from Tarkov loot: categories, filters and ESP readability
Start with the object type
Loot ESP is a general term for displaying loot, not a promise that every product has identical capabilities. A ground item, closed container and character corpse can belong to three independent groups. Medusa EFT explicitly separates these groups, while Next Pro EFT separately lists containers, quest items, corpses and container item lists.
First identify the information you need: an object’s location, name, total value or the items inside. A container reference alone does not establish detailed inventory visibility. This distinction helps you ask a precise question before buying.
Category and value thresholds serve different purposes
A category selects item types, such as medicine, keys, ammunition or barter items. A price filter applies a numerical threshold. When both are active, an item must satisfy both conditions. Enabling medicine therefore does not guarantee that every medical item will appear.
A value shown by third-party software should not be treated as a promise of actual proceeds. The data source, freshness and calculation method matter. When looking for a particular material, its purpose may matter more than price. Check whether the product offers a separate selected-item list before raising the overall threshold.
Why a marker may disappear while aiming
Medusa lists Hide in Scope, Hide in Battle Mode and hover-only display for items, corpses and containers. Containers also have an option to hide opened objects. With such settings, a missing label can be expected behavior rather than a failure of the whole interface.
Check one cause at a time: object type, distance limit, category, price and conditional hiding. Changing several toggles together makes it harder to identify which one restored a marker. Keeping the original profile helps compare results with previous settings and avoid accidentally altering other groups.
Readability matters more than label count
Too many names, values and distances overlap. Begin with the minimum information you actually use and distinguish groups by color. Then assess text on bright and dark backgrounds at your usual resolution and interface scale.
Medusa lists short names, separate category colors and font-size settings in its filter. This is a specific example, not a universal feature set for every tool. Ask which styling controls exist in the edition you are comparing. A longer maximum display distance is not inherently useful when its markers cannot be read.
What to compare before choosing
Open the Escape from Tarkov catalog and compare five areas: object types, contents information, filtering method, hiding conditions and styling. Check the client and game mode separately. Do not extend advertised support for regular raids to other modes without confirmation.
If the current interface differs from its instructions, send support the version name, a menu screenshot without access keys and a description of the missing object. “The contents of this container are absent” is more useful than “loot does not work.” Filters guarantee neither raid outcomes nor protection from bans for cheating.
